10:34 blue deno grift continues, dreamreal
10:37 dreamreal Yeah, well
10:38 blue dreamreal: is it possible to configure *certain* news sources for *certain* channels?
10:39 blue for example, I'd be interesting in node, deno and bun news for #primate
10:39 blue interested*
10:40 dreamreal What I don't get is what *cloudflare* gets out of it
10:40 dreamreal Well, subscribing channels to feeds is trivial and the feature's been there forever, which is how THIS channel gets some feeds
10:40 dreamreal so what I'd need is the feeds, and then where you want them subscribed
10:41 blue dreamreal: possibly better integration and offering deno stuff, dunno otherwise
10:41 blue dreamreal: does nevet have a function to list me all past-configured feeds, or is that private info?
10:42 blue like: !list feeds
10:42 dreamreal You mean you want to see the list of feeds it HAS?
10:42 blue I don't mind getting it as a private message
10:42 blue yes
10:42 dreamreal You DO NOT WANT a full list of feeds on IRC :D
10:42 dreamreal It wouldn't be "a private message" it would be a flood
10:42 blue then search maye? Ideally, I want to say: activate feed <number>
10:42 blue obviously it already has a deno blog feed
10:42 blue I just wanna reuse that
10:43 blue for #primate
10:43 blue if not via irc then web search would be also ok for me
10:43 dreamreal Gonna file a bug against exporting the OPML file, going to send one to you on discord
10:43 blue then all I need to do on irc is `+feed 10`
10:44 blue and to deactivate, `-feed 10`
10:44 blue or whatever the id is
10:44 dreamreal https://github.com/streampack-dev/streampack/tree/main/service-rss
10:44 blue then nevet says: feed #10 active for #primate (deno.com/blog)
10:44 blue is this feasible
10:44 blue ?
10:45 blue yes but I'm asking in general if you already normalise feeds, or is it an entry per channel
10:45 blue if you normalise feeds, then working with ids or aliases is much more comfortable
10:47 dreamreal Not sure what you mean. There's a central list of feeds, and a list of subscriptions that say "emit new entries to these listeners."
10:47 dreamreal so you have a 1:M map of feeds and consumers.
10:47 blue nvm, already solved, I made it more complicated than necessary
10:48 blue I thought that every url gets an id you can reuse
10:48 dreamreal It ... does, but it does not expose it
10:48 dreamreal the natural way to think about a website is via its url :D
10:48 blue yes, but remember I have to go to the website and look it up
10:49 blue it would have been easier for me to go to bytecode.news/feeds and look for the ones I'm interested in, then add them by ids or in bulk
10:49 dreamreal Yes, I agree, and I'm adding that as an issue
10:49 dreamreal although subscription is an admin feature
10:50 blue also, does nevet provide a list of active feeds per channel?
10:50 dreamreal changing the bot's DATA is a user operation; changing the bot's config = admin
10:50 blue and could you please add me as admin for #primate / #repopack, or is that impossible?
10:50 dreamreal admin isn't by channel, it's by identity :/
10:50 blue or not admin, but a role that can configure feeds for that channel
10:50 dreamreal feed list

11:00 dreamreal feed subscriptions
11:00 dreamreal grrrr
11:00 dreamreal fsck, wrong version, give me a few minutes
11:00 blue calm down, young blood
11:00 blue it's all good
11:01 dreamreal yeah, but this is stuff that I want to work :D
11:01 blue ya, but take your time and solve it properly, I'm not waiting on it to happen yesterday
11:01 dreamreal It IS solved, I just deployed a version that was older than I intended
11:02 dreamreal So did you read the new article?
11:03 dreamreal this is why I wanted the UI separated from the actual app, too: the UIs don't really care if the backend blips during a deployment, unless they need live data
11:03 dreamreal so common content just gets cached and reused
12:15 blue dreamreal: I didn't read it yet, I just got home
