#java

  1. Para ~65
  2. javabot 65 is the class file format number of class files emitted when using --release 21. You will need java 21 or higher to run these. You can check with the POSIX "file" command: file [yourclassfile.class] will show you the version number.
  3. jreicher ~67
  4. javabot jreicher, 67 is the class file format number of class files emitted when using --release 23. You will need java 23 or higher to run these. You can check with the POSIX "file" command: file [yourclassfile.class] will show you the version number.
  5. jreicher Sorry. Had to
  6. hassoon 'morning
  7. computelabs_in morning?
  8. computelabs_in What are you using in Java?
  9. julemand101 computelabs_in: Are you asking which part of Java we are using or?
  10. computelabs_in yes yes.
  11. hassoon depends
  12. hassoon lots of things are used in Java..
  13. computelabs_in yes it touches a lot of domain and sectors and library file.
  14. computelabs_in hassoon where are you from?
  15. hassoon computelabs_in: why
  16. computelabs_in just like that if you feel comfortable you may say otherwise it's okay
  17. julemand101 Just it is rather weird your way of asking and then go directly for personal information
  18. hassoon what julemand101 said ++
  19. nevet what julemand101 said now has karma of 1.
  20. julemand101 computelabs_in: Hard to say which "parts" of Java I am using. At the moment we mostly use Java on backend and then a bit on Android so I guess most parts of Java besides the GUI stuff (so no Swing or AWT)
  21. computelabs_in ok , ok
  22. computelabs_in Sure no personal; i would not come to your home.
  23. hassoon java is designed for backend programming
  24. julemand101 We still have projects using Java on clients with Swing and AWT... :P
  25. hassoon define clients..
  26. hassoon browsers ?
  27. julemand101 No, desktop programs
  28. hassoon ah, ok
  29. computelabs_in yeh it has strong industrial support; otherwise it's common language
  30. computelabs_in generic programming language.
  31. julemand101 computelabs_in: So what are you using Java for?
  32. computelabs_in Oh, I’m just waiting for a project that can give me an opportunity to work with Java.
  33. computelabs_in Although I solve backend or full-stack problems using Python with less hard work and less typing, easy to manage code and logic which allows me to build what I want rapidly, the real hard work comes in writing test cases, testing the code, and profiling it.
  34. hassoon you ask AI to do that for you ? or you do it by yourself ?
  35. dreamreal Depending on the AI and the domain (and the human), some AIs are FANTASTIC at generating tests
  36. jreicher One of the best uses of AI, I would have thought.
  37. jreicher At a high level it's the same as using them for counterexample proofs in advanced mathematics, which has been successful.
  38. dreamreal Turns out there are as many good USES of AI as there are good USERS of AI.
  39. dreamreal When users create garbage, so do the AIs - at an astonishing clip.
  40. dreamreal BBIAF.
  41. deebo bset use so far has been "read @spring-boot-4-upgrade.md and implement it in this repository. make no mistakes"
  42. deebo all services upgraded in a few days saving probably a few weeks of manual bullshittery
  43. Para I'm going to start adding "Maybe do a few silly mistakes if you're feeling silly it ^_^" to my prompts.
  44. Para Or myabe as suffix to AGENT.md, no one's going to read that anyway.
  45. julemand101 "Be silly if you feel the need for it but write it to /dev/null"
  46. Para "If you encounter a difficult issue or bug, convert the project to Rust."
  47. deebo should try "convert this react app into htmx + thymeleaf"
  48. deebo (+ make no mistakes)
  49. sbalmos "If you are unsure of any point of the app's existing functionality, stop and convert it to C#"
  50. ernimril is that a generic statement about any app?
  51. ernimril :-)
  52. sbalmos well at least it's graduated from using VBA. *shrug*
  53. Darkko zycord.com/docs/how-it-works
  54. Darkko https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5592720.0
  55. javabot Darkko's title: "[ANN][ZCD] Zycord | A P2P network of self-certifying state | Mainnet Oct 1"
  56. nevet [ANN][ZCD] Zycord | A P2P network of self-certifying state | Mainnet Oct 1
  57. Darkko I am looking for people to verify the project. I am looking for external validation.
  58. Darkko Thank you in advance
