Chronos99%+ of the time, nothing meaningfully changes anyway. And it tends to get you labeled as a pain in the ass.

jreicherBut I had a very strong relationship with my manager (and their manager). That's crucial.
jreicherAnd teammates who weren't afraid to argue with me. I often make a point of calling out my own mistakes or stupidities to encourage that by reminding them I'm fallible. I'm usually the person asking the dumb question in every room so nobody is afraid to argue with me at other times.
